Jr. Swim Coach Duties & Responsibilities

  • The Junior Swim Coach shall have swim team experience, CPR and Lifeguard certification/training.

  • The Junior Swim Coach shall abide by the Greater Peninsula Swimming Association (GPSA) Rules and Regulations, as well as the Code of Conduct.

  • The Junior Swim Coach shall assist the Head Coach and the Assistant Head Coach in running daily practices and form practice groups.

  • The Junior Swim Coach shall assist the Head Coach and the Assistant Head Coach in providing coaching supervision to all Volunteers.

  • The Junior Swim Coach shall assist the Head Coach and the Assistant Head Coach in coordination of ALL meets in which the Running Man Manta Rays participate.

  • The Junior Swim Coach shall ensure that ALL members of the Running Man Manta Rays receive equal treatment at practices and meets, and are given the attention needed to develop their swimming skills.

  • The Junior Swim Coach shall help keep track of strokes accomplished, disqualifications, and movement up and down through the different swim groups.

  • The Junior Swim Coach shall assist in set up and take down for each practice and home meet, as well as assist in the preparations of the lane slips for each meet.

  • The Junior Swim Coach shall be present at and perform Clerk of Course duties during ALL meets in which Running Man Manta Rays participate.

  • The Junior Swim Coach will participate in any spirit activities (including, but not limited to Fun Fridays) and any other swim team activity as directed by the RMRA Swim Team Board.
