About our community

Our picturesque neighborhood is located in desirable York County, Virginia—zoned for the best-rated schools on the Virginia Peninsula, and even among other Yorktown schools. It's a true community, where neighbors know each other and kids can play safely in the front yard.

Originally a Parade of Homes showsite in the 1980s, Running Man has grown through several phases to include 600 single-family homes. The whole neighborhood was designed to have an active main street (Running Man Trail) and short side streets that are easily accessible. Home values range from the $400,000s to $700,000s, averaging around $550,000. Best of all, there are no cookie-cutter houses—you'll see plenty of architectural diversity, mostly traditional but also craftsman and modern styles.

We're located just a few minutes from Langley Air Force Base, NASA and Jefferson Lab, so many move here for the convenient commute. As you turn onto Running Man Trail, you'll be greeted by landscaped medians and a bike lane along both sides of the road—bustling with joggers, bikers and parents pushing strollers. If it feels like a throwback to a happier time in the world, well, it many ways it is!
